Disclaimer

Timber is a natural product, colour, grain and knots vary between pieces, batches and photos shown. Timber, laminate and hybrid flooring may show 5–8% batch colour variation, partly due to studio lighting and screen settings. Wood may expand, contract or crack with humidity changes that are natural traits, not defects.

Elevate your interior with the timeless elegance of our Engineered Timber Herringbone 14mm, one of Australia's most sought-after luxury flooring styles. Combining the natural beauty of genuine European oak with the precision of traditional herringbone parquetry, this floor creates a striking visual statement that has defined luxury architecture for centuries.

Unlike standard straight-plank timber flooring, our herringbone boards are precision-cut to form a continuous 45° V-shaped pattern, adding movement, depth and sophistication to any room. Whether you're designing a contemporary Australian home, luxury apartment, heritage renovation or commercial fit-out, this herringbone flooring delivers an architectural finish that never dates, and suits the light-filled, open-plan living spaces common across Australian homes.

Each herringbone board features a generous 3mm European oak wear layer over a highly stable seven-layer engineered plywood core, engineered for exceptional strength and dimensional stability in Australian climate conditions, from humid coastal regions to dry inland areas. The low-sheen 5 to 8% matt finish enhances the timber's authentic character, while wire brushing and micro-bevelled edges add texture and definition to every plank.

The traditional Tongue & Groove (T&G) profile ensures precise alignment and is purpose-built for full glue-down installation, creating a solid, quiet floor with outstanding long-term acoustic and structural performance, ideal for Australian apartments and multi-storey homes where noise transfer matters. The natural ABCD grade celebrates the authentic character of real European oak, including knots, grain variation, medullary rays, natural checking and colour variation, so every herringbone floor installed is completely unique.

Engineered Timber

  • Real hardwood veneer (2–6mm) bonded to a stable plywood core
  • Looks, feels and sounds like solid hardwood
  • More dimensionally stable through humidity and temperature changes
  • Can go over concrete slabs and in-slab hydronic heating
  • Can be sanded and refinished over its life

Laminate

  • A high-resolution photographic layer of timber, stone or tile under a protective wear layer — no real timber
  • Click-lock system that floats over the sub-floor
  • One of the most DIY-friendly floors to install
  • Not suitable for wet areas; cannot be sanded or refinished
  • Excellent value with increasingly realistic finishes

Hybrid

  • Rigid SPC/WPC core with a printed decorative layer
  • 100% waterproof — suitable for bathrooms, laundries and in-slab heating
  • Pre-attached underlay; no separate vapour barrier needed in most installs
  • Low-maintenance and highly stain-resistant
  • Cannot be sanded or refinished, but rarely needs it

Patterns

  • Straight Planks — classic parallel layout, boards run in one direction
  • Herringbone — boards laid at 90°, interlocking in a zig-zag for a structured look
  • Chevron — boards angled and joined point-to-point for a seamless V pattern
